Our mission is to make the best tacos using New Zealand ingredients & Mexican tradition.

First we source fresh Napier-grown corn, then through a traditional Mexican process, we turn it into masa dough. Once fed through 'Tony the Taco Press', a delicious fresh corn tortilla is born!

Our wood fire grill is at the heart of everything we make. This is where we lovingly grill fresh local ingredients, which are then nestled into your tasty, authentic taco.

We had a fantastic dinner at Paloma. When we arrived, the place was fully booked for the day, so we couldn't get in right away. But Sofia, who was very friendly, told us to come back in 30 minutes and she would make sure we were seated. When we returned, she was very friendly and the food we ordered was a complete surprise. My husband complained me that the grill was late after the tacos, but when we got the lamb, he immediately apologized to me. It was worth the 3 hour wait at least! And thanks to all the staff who served us, especially Sofia, we had such a wonderful time. It will be one of the most delicious meals we've had on our honeymoon!

Great Mexican restaurant with a patio setting. The elotes appetizer was memorable, and the fresh pear and kale salad had a delightful dressing. We enjoyed the eggplant dish. Highly recommend the light and crispy churros with a rich chocolate dip for dessert!

Top to bottom a 5 star experience. We got several dishes, ribeye, beef taco, chicken taco, chips and guac, and charred fish. On top of the food tasting great, their house made hot sauces were excellent. We all enjoyed the darker smokey one the most. The fish with Verde butter was possibly the best fish I have had. The steak was cooked perfectly and topped with a nice chimichurri sauce. Both tacos had great flavor and the beef was slow cooked to perfection. Highly recommend coming here if you get a chance.

Authentic flavours, great cocktails and a fun vibe. Impressed by the in house made tacos and tortilla chips. Friendly service who took great care accomodating my nut allergy. A highlight of the very high quality food scene in Wanaka.

This place is stunning! I had the Octopus and Ceviche, and would honestly sell my soul just to have it again. The staff were fantastic, thanks for a fancy dining night x
